33d Maintenance Group

September 19th, 2019 by

The 33d Maintenance Group is a part of the 33d Fighter Wing on Eglin AFB. Its main mission is to train United States Air Force, United States Marine Corps, and the United States Navy pilots and maintainers on the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II.

Step One Automotive Group began their partnership with the 33d Maintenance Squadron and Commander Matt Scott originally in 2018.

During that time, we participated in multiple community outreach activities with the members of the Squadron including;

Relay for Life

Habitat for Humanity

Alzheimers Awareness Walk

Our Jobs Program

As part of our commitment to the 33d, we are happy to offer any spouse or dependent of a member of the 33d a job at one of our Step One Automotive Group Locations.

We also offer members of the 33d who may be retiring from the military or preparing for a civilian life in the future to train for a new career at Step One Automotive Group.

In the Summer of 2019, Step One’s partnership expanded to include the entire 33d Maintenance Group, commanded by Colonel David Moreland and comprised of more than 700 United States airmen, representing the 33d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, the 33d Maintenance Operations Squadron and the 33d Maintenance Squadron.

Honorary Commander Designation

In 2018, the Managing Director of Step One Automotive Group, Fernando Arellano, was invited to become an Honorary Commander of the 33d Maintenance Squadron. After a year in that position, Mr. Arellano was moved up to the Honorary Commander of the 33d Maintenance Group.

All of us at Step One Automotive Group look forward to many more opportunities to partner with our friends from the 33d.
