Bring Fido out to this annual celebration of dogs and the families that love them. All dogs must be over six months old and currently on vaccinations. The event powered by Step One Automotive Group will feature dozens of rescue organizations, dog trainers, veterinarian clinics, and dog groomers. The event is free to attend, a small donation of $3 per dog is suggested. Presented by Friendship Veterinary Hospital.

National Night Out
The Fort Walton Beach Police Department will host a National Night Out event on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Chester Pruitt Park in Fort Walton Beach located at 8 Harbeson Ave. NE from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The public is invited to join the department for this annual community-building event that enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. The 1980’s-themed event is free and will include food from local vendors, music, games and activities for kids

The area’s largest regular networking event occurs on the first Friday of each month, and brings together up to 300 business people for a fun and informative breakfast meeting. The topics vary according to the monthly sponsors, but it’s always a mix of great networking, important information, a terrific meal, occasional entertainment, and some of the best door prizes you’ll see anywhere! The 96th Force Support Squadron invites the entire Eglin community to a “spook-tacular” evening of Halloween festivities at this year’s Trunk-Or-Treat FallFest! Get your scare on and bring the whole family out to Postl Point for this kid-friendly event full of ghoulishly good fun. Trunk-Or-Treat Lane will open at 5 p.m., showcasing vehicles decorated in their Halloween best and filled with FREE candy for kids of all ages. Also enjoy carnival rides and games, hayrides, and food trucks on site for food and beverage purchases. Event admission is FREE to everyone with base access!

On Sunday, October 30, 2022, 10,000+ area animal lovers will converge on Community Maritime Park for one of Pensacola’s most beloved events – Barktoberfest. Pensacola Humane Society will host animal welfare organizations from across the Gulf Coast. Attendees will see all of their favorite Pensacola rescues along with Gulf Coast animal sanctuaries, preserves, and shelters. PHS will have the Humane Express full of adoptable animals looking for their furrever families, non-profit organizations of all shapes and sizes will be out sharing their important missions, and local businesses will be hosting prize drawings and give aways throughout the day! Local eateries and food trucks will keep you full, and the ECUA Quench Buggy will make sure everyone – 4- legged and 2-legged – stays hydrated.
