Drive Out Breast Cancer Georgia
Step One Automotive created the PINK Jeep campaign in 2021. To raise awareness during the month of October a breast cancer awareness month.
Together we continue to help raise awareness and drive out breast cancer. Last year’s campaign showed us, this fun and different idea would be the most engaging way we could support this momentous cause. The pink Wagoneer was on the showroom floor of Step One Automotive locations and at community events around Savannah and Brunswick collecting signatures.
“Each October we are grateful to work with organizations like Step One Auto for Paint the Town Pink to raise money for the Mammography Fund, which ensures those in our community, who are uninsured or underinsured, receive needed mammograms and other breast health services. In 2021, the Mammography Fund provided 522 screening mammograms, 49 diagnostic mammograms, 31 breast ultrasounds, 11 breast biopsies and had 615 images evaluated by radiologists,” shared Vernice Rackett, Executive Director for St. Joseph’s/Candler Foundations.
After the success of last year’s campaign in Georgia, Step One Automotive Group decided to have three pink wrapped vehicles in all the markets we operate. Pink vehicles were cruising around Alabama, Georgia, and Florida bringing attention to a worthy cause and mission.
During October 2022 we collected 6,000 signatures and donated $6,000 to St. Joseph`s Candler Telfair Mammography Fund during their Paint the town pink campaign. With results from 2021, that makes total of 11,000 signatures, that Step One matched with $11,000.
