National Mustang Day - Enthusiasts Celebrate The Birth of Ford Performance
For any Ford Performance fan, April 17 will always be known as the official birthdate of the Ford Mustang. It was on that date in 1964 that the Ford Mustang was officially debuted at the 1964 World’s Fair in Flushing, Queens at a price tag of $2368.
It’s introduction into the market created the “pony car” class of American muscle cars, inspiring many competitors to follow suit with their own versions of affordable, sporty coupes.
