We had a great honor to present Step One Local Hero Award to Mrs. Doris L. Williams, in recognition of Women`s History Month. Doris is Executive Director of Mary`s Place and true hero, supporting victims of rape and survivors for over 14 years. Every month Step One awards a community member who has made a significant contribution to the community.

Recognizing a woman who cares for women in their worst situations is what we call a hero.
