In the summer of 2019, the new Ford Tremor Package was announced, which boasts impressive towing and payload capabilities as well as many mechanical and exterior upgrades that make these Ford trucks even more qualified to navigate tough terrains.

Off-Road Upgrades

The new Ford Tremor Package comes with impressive off-road upgrades that finally allow these popular Super Duty trucks to do it all. Some integral changes include a lift kit that raises the front suspension by two inches, a set of 35-inches Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac off-road tires mounted on 18-inch matte black wheels, and a front air dam that is five inches higher. These upgrades allow for 10.8 inches of ground clearance and the ability to ford water up to 33 inches deep.

The 2020 Ford Tremor Package also features the Terrain Management System, a system that allows you to select the drive mode best suited for your environment, which includes the new rock-crawl mode that is unique to the Tremor Package. Trail Control™ allows the driver to focus on steering and handling while taking on difficult trails. Ford Super Duty trucks that feature the Tremor Package equipped with a 7.3-liter gas engine will have a 53:1 crawl ratio, while those with the 6.7-liter diesel engine will have a 44:1 crawl ratio.

Additional Enhancements

Other upgrades that come with the Ford Tremor Package include progressive-rate springs and a rear stabilizer bar to help balance and control the cabin with both heavy-duty towing and on rocky trails, custom 1.7-inch piston twin-tube dampers to control body motion, a locking rear differential with electronic shift-on-the-fly engagement, as well as a new Dana® limited-slip front differential. On the exterior, off-road running boards fit tightly against the body for minimal damage risk and rugged skid plates, the same as fitted to FX4 models, are mounted on the bottom to protect the underside from rocks and other debris.
