Back By Popular Demand: Re-Introducing the Ford Bronco in Spring 2020
The Ford Bronco is back and better than ever! After ending production back in 1996, the legendary Bronco is making it’s groundbreaking comeback Spring of 2020. Ford revealed the Bronco would be returning to the Ford lineup back in 2017 at the North American International Car Show in Detroit, and the world has been waiting with bated breath ever since.
So what do we know so far about this highly anticipated model release? Read on to learn more about what features to look for in the new 2020 Ford Bronco.

Turning Heads Since the 60’s
The iconic and easily recognizable styling of the Ford Bronco will not be lost on this new 2020 release. From what we can tell so far, the overall styling appears to be boxy and rugged, with a tapered roof and a spare wheel mounted on the back, not unlike it’s 1996 release. Ford will likely offer a four-door Bronco in addition to the two-door, like Jeep offers with its two and four-door Wranglers.

It is rumored that the Bronco will feature removable doors and a removable top, allowing drivers to enjoy plenty of sunshine and blue skies behind the wheel. Apparently, the mirrors will be mounted to the A-pillars, and not the doors like it is on a Jeep Wrangler. In fact, many suspect the design of the Bronco to resemble a Jeep Wrangler or a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen.
The Powerful New Bronco
It has been confirmed that the Bronco and the Ford Ranger will share a platform, and we suspect the Bronco will share it’s drivetrain with the Ranger as well. The Ranger boasts 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, so it is fair to assume the Bronco will be very similar. Parts like the 10-speed automatic transmission, two-speed transfer case and electric power steering could all make an appearance, but Ford hasn’t discussed that in detail yet.

The Bronco may be similar in the Wrangler in that it may offer solid axles both front and rear. A beam-axle Bronco isn’t promised, but that would give the Bronco a major advantage when it comes to overall ruggedness.
